Shipping Policy
We do not offer free shipping. Buyers are responsible for all shipping fees and payments, which are due at the time of purchase.
Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are determined by the weight and size of the package. We offer discounted shipping rates for orders over $400
An “adult signature” is required to receive your package from the delivery driver on the FIRST attempt.
We will make every effort to schedule shipping dates to assure that you are available to receive your package and provide tracking information once your package ships.
If nobody answers the door to receive package on the first attempt and your order is “LEFT AT DOOR” or “REDIRECTED TO A NEARBY FEDEX/UPS LOCATION” JJ Reefs will not be held responsible for damaged, lost deliveries or DOA's.
Shipping Methods
· Small and Regular-Sized Packages containing dry goods: Shipped via USPS, FedEx or UPS by standard shipping (overnight available by request at an upgraded shipping charge).
· Small and Regular-Sized Packages containing live animals: Shipped via FedEx or UPS on either Monday or Wednesday closest to order date with overnight priority next day shipping.
· Oversized Packages: Shipped via Southwest Cargo delivery. A $35 fee is required to cover transportation to the nearest Southwest Cargo drop-off airport. This fee must be paid before the package leaves our store. Customers are responsible for all Southwest Cargo shipping and handling fees.
Local Pick-Up
We offer free local pick-up for your convenience.
Shipping Exclusions
We do not ship Internationally.
Unfortunately, at this time we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
Weather Delays
Most packages are sent out for delivery on the Monday or Wednesday after ordered, weather permitting. In cases of extreme weather, we reserve the right to delay shipping until conditions improve. We will contact you as soon as we receive your order if a weather delay is a factor in your shipping date.
Return & DOA Policy
Livestock
JJ Reefs does not accept returns on any livestock. All sales are final. There will be no refunds or returns for any livestock. (if you have an issue with an item contact us immediately so that we can discuss the issue with you)
Dry Goods
Dry goods will only receive refunds in the form of replacement or store credit if product arrives expired, miss labeled or due to manufacturer defects.
Used, discontinued or discounted products and equipment are non-refundable and sold in as in condition.
DOA's
We guarantee your livestock has been professionally handled and packaged by our staff. JJ Reefs ensures that every precaution has been taken with your shipment from the moment it has been ordered until it arrives at the shippers. Every customer will receive our company’s policy before shipment is processed and every package will contain a copy of our company policy and acclimation instructions as well. However, we are unable to control everything, and issues may occur.
If your livestock arrives on time, has been signed for and the packaging is in good condition but is dead on arrival. We must be contacted immediately as well as provided a picture of the deceased livestock still in the shipping bag/container at time of opening. If your livestock is DOA, we will only offer store credit, no refunds. NOTE: Shipping fee is nonrefundable and will not be applied towards store credit.
JJ Reefs cannot be held responsible for any DOA caused by delays, improper handling or losses by the package carrier anytime during transit. Please take a photo immediately of the damaged packaging and contact us for instructions on how to file a claim with carrier.
If you do not sign/receive your package on the first attempt or we receive a “LEFT AT DOOR” or “REDIRECTED TO A NEARBY FEDEX/UPS LOCATION” message we are NOT responsible for any DOA's.
